Through an on-going apprenticeship to the Bomoh, an incredibly gifted and wise shamanic healer in Malaysian Borneo, I have come to understand that we have an energy body as well as a physical body. Each of us is an essence or soul that carries an awareness of our purpose and place in the universe. Within the soul are the psyche, energy, and physical bodies that are vibrationally housed in the dreambody. The dreambody operates on various frequency bands.
When an unconscious memory surfaces to consciousness, it alters the frequency band of the psyche. The dreambody is holographic in nature, moving in and out of the physical body, capable of functions beyond those we in the West believe possible.
In shamanic practice one works with spirit guides. Most of my work is based on teachings received from my own spirit guides; some guides have been with me my entire life while others were transmitted through teachings and rituals from the Bomoh. He has urged me to take his teachings back to my country, as he believes that an understanding of the spirit realm is essential for the survival of the planet. We all have spirit guides and access to universal knowledge similar, if not analogous, to Jung’s description of the collective unconscious. One of the goals of my work is to awaken in others the ability to connect to this realm of knowledge and wisdom and to discover their own potential for self-healing and the healing of others.
