Healing the Ocean Summer Solstice June 20–21, 2009

Last summer I went on a whale watch on which we were visited by many incredible whales. The marine biologist poignantly spoke of the rapid rise of toxins in the ocean and the threat to marine life as a result. She painfully told of a beached whale in the Puget Sound that was so full of toxins that the whale had to be buried in a toxic waste dump. This tale re-enforced the need to not only work politically but also in spirit to reverse this trend. Masaru Emoto, a brilliant scientist from Japan documented that positive thoughts and emotions can alter the structure of water producing a beautiful crystalline structure; whereas negative thoughts and emotions produce sludge. It is our hope that our love for the ocean and all of the creatures within can alter and heal the destructive elements within the sea.

A circle of women healers who meet in Gloucester, Massachusetts, the oldest seaport in America, are proposing that as many people as possible line the coasts on both sides of the Atlantic and Pacific on the Summer Solstice to drum, journey and pray for the transmutation of the toxins in the oceans and in the marine life that inhabits the ocean. (Read about toxins.) Gloucester, along with other fishing communities, are severely impacted by the toxins in the oceans that threaten both the quantity and quality of the fishing stock, and the life, culture, and livelihood of thousands of fishermen and their families.

Please join us on Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st as we gather to heal the ocean.
Hopefully this will become a practice that we all can do throughout the year as we work to heal all aspects of our planet.

On the North Shore of Boston, a group will be gathering
Saturday, June 20th, 7pm at Good Harbor Beach, Gloucester, MA.
On the East Coast of the USA the Solstice officially begins at 1:46am on the 21st of June. Thus we will be gathering to build a body of energy that will peak at the time of the Solstice. For those on the West Coast, the Solstice officially begins 10:46pm on the 20th. Others might want to meet at times convenient for them in their areas and time zone. As we grow the vibration of healing and transmutation, we can tune into this vibration at any time and hopefully continue this practice in our daily prayers and meditations.

The intent of this community healing is for each of us to journey to a part of the ocean where we ask our guides and spirit helpers to send divine healing light, then hold the intention of transmutation as we watch as the toxins are absorbed into the light, shifting the vibration from that which harms to that which heals. As we gather in small and large circles throughout the day, a miraculous shift in the vibration and health of the ocean can occur. Those who live inland can gather at a lake, river or stream nearby to journey for healing of the body of water nearest to them as well as hold the vision of toxins transforming in the ocean.
